WHERE DO YOU FIT IN THE GENERATION TIMELINE NOW?

BABY BOOMERS (1946-1964):

After WWII, a population boom created this generation, often associated with prosperity and social change. The Boomers witnessed the moon landing, the rise of rock ‘n’ roll, and the cultural revolution of the 60s. Many of them also defined the corporate world with their work-centric lifestyles.

GENERATION X (1965-1980):

The ‘X’ symbolized the undefined and independent nature of the generation during a time of societal shifts. They grew up with the advent of personal computers, and were the first to embrace the idea of work-life balance. Referred as the ‘Latchkey Kids’ for their self-reliance.

MILLENNIALS/GENY (1981-1996):

Coined by sociologists, this generation came of age around the new millennium. Millennials experienced the digital revolution firsthand, transitioning from dial-up internet to smartphones. They prioritize experiences over material possessions.

GENERATION Z (1997-2009):

The last letter of the alphabet marks the end of the traditional generational cycle. Gen Z is the first true digital-native generation, growing up with social media and constant connectivity. Their strong focus on activism and inclusivity sets them apart.

GENERATION ALPHA (2010-2024):

Starting a new cycle, Alpha represents the first generation born entirely in the 21st century. Gen Alpha is growing up in a world shaped by AI, augmented reality, and smart technology, influencing their education and playtime.

GENERATION BETA 2025 ONWARDS:

Continuing the alphabet cycle, Beta reflects the rapid pace of technological and societal advancements. Expected to grow up in smart cities, with AI and robotics deeply integrated into their daily lives. They might look back at smartphones as outdated relics.
