7 DETOX WATER RECIPES THAT WILL HELP YOU STAY HEALTHY

When it comes to weight loss and fitness, the true purpose of a “detox” has always been unclear. A detox water is said to cleanse out the toxins and help you lose weight. It is rich in antioxidants and helps in improving your metabolic rate. Staying hydrated in general helps in improving the metabolic rate, which in turn helps in burning more calories. It also improves energy levels. As a result, you might work out more efficiently.

  1. CUCUMBER, LEMON & MINT:-   

Take 1/2  a cucumber and one lemon and slice them up evenly. Fill a jug with water and add these two ingredients along with some washed mint leaves. Leave in the fridge for overnight infusion and your water is ready. This recipe is great for your skin too.

 

2.  GINGER, MINT, & LEMON:- 

Mint is surely a popular choice for detox water. For this detox water, you will need one cucumber (optional), two inches peeled ginger, two lemons, some mint leaves and one pinch of Himalayan salt. Add all these ingredients together in a jug of water and infuse. The ginger in the water has anti-inflammatory benefits for the throat along side its metabolic benefits.

 

3. GRAPEFRUIT & THYME WATER:- 

This detox water recipe for weight loss you needs just two ingredients. You will need two slices grapefruit  (peeled) and a small thyme on the stem. Now add these into one liter of water and infuse as per your liking. Sounds super refreshing, doesn’t it?

 

4. WATERMELON, CITRUS & CUCUMBER:- 

For this summer detox water recipe, you will need one cup chopped water melon, 1/2 lime juice, 1/2 orange juice, one lemon wedge, one orange wedge and some cucumber slices. Add these ingredients in a pitcher and infuse. This detox water recipe will keep you hydrated throughout the day.

 

5. FENNEL, APPLE & LEMON:-

For this you can use one entire apple and lemon and some fennel slices. Throw all these ingredients (after chopping) into a pitcher and leave overnight. Before drinking, make sure to squeeze out the lemon wedges for added flavor.

 

6. PEAR, BASIL & LEMON:-

For this recipe, you will only need four ingredients. These include some fresh pears, 1/2 orange juice, lemon wedges, and a handful of basil leaves. Mix these in ice cold water and it will be ready in about 10 hours. This detox water recipe is great for post summer seasons too.

 

7. LEMON & BLUEBERRY:-

Another refreshing detox water recipe, this one is super easy to make since it has only two basic ingredients. Take 2-3 slices of lemon and some fresh blueberries for about 6 ounces of water. You increase the quantity in the same ratio for making a bigger batch. One can also enjoy the blueberries as is, once the detox water is ready.
