Stroke is a brain disease that occurs when there is either a sudden decrease in the quantity of blood reaching a particular area of the brain due to obstruction of a blood vessel (structures that transport blood to the brain and within the brain) or when a blood vessel sudden ruptures or bursts leading to bleeding within the brain. When this occurs, the brain cells in that area die leading to signs and symptoms such as paralysis, difficulties speaking or seeing, numbness on one side of the body, etc.
Stroke is the leading cause of acquired disability in adults worldwide.
The two main strokes are:-

A stroke is caused by blood clots or excess fat deposits on the walls of blood vessels obstructing blood flow to the brain.
2. Hemorrhagic stroke:-
A blood vessel ruptures and prevents blood flow to the brain.
